Who We Are
The Great Lakes Medieval Faire is a shaded, 13th century family fun theme park filled with fine continuous entertainment, juried crafts and artisans, rides and interactive games, and foods fit for a King.
Reminiscent of Sherwood Forest, you’ll be transported back in time to our shire of Avaloch! There you’ll experience an age of romance and chivalry, where brave knights battle for the favor of the Queen, fair damsels and minstrels frolic, and the villagers and fae enjoy a festival day with much merriment!
Themed Weekends
There are always new and exciting surprises during our Themed Weekends. Super Heros, Time Travelers, Pirates and more!
Parking
There is plentiful parking for just $5 per vehicle!
Those displaying handicap tags on their car will receive special parking near the gate. Wheelchair-accessible wash facilities are also available. The GLMF is wheelchair and stroller accessible. It’s a little bumpy at the gravel entrance, but once inside the forest area of Avaloch, the paths are much easier to navigate.

Bring your favorite furry, feathered, or scaley friends to the Great Lakes Medieval Faire! Simply download the Pet Registration Form for all the details.
Note that there is a $5 fee per pet registration. Please remember to keep your pets away from the horses and falcons.
Dates & Times
During our 2026 season, we will open on Saturdays and Sundays from July 11th to August 23rd. Festival gates open at 11 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. – opening ceremonies begin at 10:45 a.m., and we end the day at 6:15 p.m. with our Finale in Song! We are open rain or shine.
