For your audition please prepare a one (1) minute monologue of your choice (either contemporary or period) that best shows your talent

  • you must memorize your monologue
  • choose a piece that's appropriate to the sort of character you would like to play - for example, a peasant would never recite Hamlet's "To be or not to be..."
  • please refrain from quoting from movies
  • and no, you do not have to quote Shakespeare. In fact, we get so much of that, we advise against it.
  • Additional Requirements:

  • if you have an acting resumé and/or a head shot (or even a recent photograph), please bring them
  • if you play a time-period appropriate instrument (eg, recorder or guitar), bring it along
  • if you have a special skill (singing, dance, juggling, etc.), come prepared to share it and impress!
  • Notes:

  • if you are under 16, you must be accompanied by your parent or legal guardian
  • All cast will be required to attend all Saturday and Sunday rehearsals starting mid-May, from 10am-4pm (with a break for lunch each day)
